We created Box of Specs while the world was sheltering-in-place from the COVID-19 pandemic. Our goal was to be able to service the optical needs of patients and deliver our boutique experience in the comfort of their own homes. It is a great way to immerse in the Specs experience if for those who cannot make it to our boutique.
Our 4 step process is simple: 1. Get-to-Know-You - Initial Virtual Consultation We will schedule a complimentary 30 minute session to get to know you and learn about your visual needs, ocular history, and gain a sense of your personal style aesthetic. This is also your chance to get to know us as well and ask any questions you may have.
At the conclusion of your consultation, if you would like to have a box curated for you, we will send you an initial invoice of $150 and ask for a card to be placed on file.
2. Box of Specs Curation This is where the fun begins! We'll pull a total of 8 frames for you and send your first Box of Specs! You'll also receive some demonstration tools, some literature, and a ruler for you to have on hand for our Virtual Styling Consultation. Your box will be topped off with a prop-up mirror (which can be lighted up via USB), a welcome card with a message from us, a curated lens menu, and your curated frames menu. We'll walk through all of these during your styling consultation. Your Box of Specs will arrive via USPS with a signature required for delivery. There will be a return box with a prepaid label and you will have 7 days to send the box back from the day it is delivered.
3. Virtual Styling Consultation Once your box has been received, we'll reach out to schedule your Virtual Styling Consultation within the 7 day window you have to return the box. We'll chat about the fits and styles of the frames, guide you through taking necessary photos for measurements and adjustments, and go over lens options. If you would like to see another set of styles, we offer a complimentary second Box of Specs to be shipped out to you, after receiving your first box back. Additional boxes, after the second box, may be requested for $50 per box.
4. Receiving your new Specs Once we receive your box back, we'll send you an invoice for your order and get your specs made. When your specs are completed, we'll make any adjustments needed, based off of your photos and send them to you! You'll also receive cases for your new eyewear and lens cloths to keep your new glasses clean.
If you'd like to schedule an appointment for an initial consultation, don't hesitate to reach out! We may be able to get you scheduled outside of the available time slots.
**Should you choose not to purchase any specs after your consultation(s), we will refund you $75 of your initial deposit, upon receiving the box back. Should we not receive any boxes back during the allotted 7 day period after delivery, we will charge the card on file for the full retail price of all frames sent to you + $50 for the cost of the box and the mirror.**
